This is real, I'm not joking. System Shock 2 is an overrated game. The graphics is outstanding for its time but the gameplay is lame. HL1 is far better though it has less attractive graphics.

The only reason u replay old games is for story or gameplay, cause their graphics quickly become obsolete and no longer the best. So a lot of these games whcih are now put and have only graphics, i bet they will be forgoten, cause they have little replay value.

I put it in my sig so that people can see that there is an alternitive to flaming in threads where the op really doesn't need that. I guess I could try to ignore the threads that have nothing to do with the op's question but often times I find my self sifting through page after page of worthless posts. Part of my aim in this thread was to remind those that do flame of how retarded all of those comments are when taken out of the original thread. You can call for a Lock if you want to but all that will do is reaffirm my belief that Anandtech video forums don't help the new builders as much as I believe they should. When I go over to DFI forums they have a rules list that helps new members learn what is accepted and what is not. They also don't have all this flame nonsense. I found out just what I needed to know without having to look through pages of "NV is better" "No! ATI is better"

Acting out? Yes. I have had it with flamers. Crying for attention? Yes. To the situation.

The first two times I played SS2 I hated it as well. Respawning enemies, weapons that break down, and many annoying enemies. However, it is certainly one of those games that you just have to get the hang of. After a while the game really does get better and now I'd say it's one of the best ever. What part is annoying you in particular?

Thank you HardWarrior for your suggestion but I do not plan to just sit on my hands. You may be right and this thread probably won't do anything to curb the flamers from posting nonsense in otherwise good threads, but I had to give it a shot. If not then how could I comment on the flamers. It's kind of like complaining about the president when you haven't voted.
