Pretty damn expensive, but my fiancee and i are getting new jobs (she already got a new one with a huge signing bonus) so i'm thinking of getting something to do some exercise at home. I figure i can put an exercise machine in front of the TV and exercise while i watch. But i was watching that treadclimber commercial by bowflex and it had me intrigued.

Is it worthwhile?

For that kind of money either get a quality elliptical from a company like Precor or get a heavy duty treadmill.

The treadclimber just looks like an accident waiting to happen. Plus I fear for what the repair and maintenance costs would be on it if the parts broke out of warranty.

I agree, elliptical (no impact, more versatile than a treadmill) or a good heavy duty treadmill. The tread climber seems kind of faddish to me, I'd personally stick with time-tested, proven equipment. Especially for the kind of money they're charging.
