Bow Street Runner

I've been playing this for the last 15 mins and it's pretty cool for nastalgic sakes. Its very very much like the adventure games from late early 90's that used FMV inegrated into 3D backgrounds like Phantasmagoria, 11th hours or Myst. Its all played via your web browser, free and well done (like the article states). 🙂

Bow Street Runner is a particularly well done adventure game that takes you back to Covent Garden, 1754, when crimes were many and the law enforcers were few.

As one of the titular Runners, it's up to you to solve some of the city's countless crimes. The game was created as a companion to the UK television series City of Vice, and is not only well-acted, but also takes great pains to be historically accurate. You might actually learn a thing or two as you prowl Covent Garden's seedy back streets.

Five parts of the game are now available. Each chapter is fairly short, and pretty easy, so you should be able to play through all five in one sitting. Fair warning: The first chapter is a bit on the buggy side, but the chapters smooth out after that.

Just finished the first episode. That is pretty cool and reminiscent of the 7th Guest. I always did like those games.

Though, I think this belongs in OT or PC Gaming more than Console Gaming.

PASS.

Dude! 7th guest was awesome! It was a complete CD-ROM experience on my multimedia PC back in the early 90s. 😛
