Bought UTIII and UT2K4

My screen resolution native: 1280x1024
Processor: FX60 clockable to 3GHz
Memory: 2.2.2.5 2GB
MB: ATI 580 North Bridge A8R32 MVP Deluxe by Asus
and current card: ATI X1900XTX

I am only looking for a card upgrade. These 3 cards are my options. 8800 GTS 512, GT 512, or the 3870... haven't seen alot of reviews with the UT games.

UT2K4 should run easily, and UT3 should run fine on that card at that resolution. I had an X1900XTX and I ran UT3 relatively quickly on high settings on 1680 x 1050, on your resolution, you should fare slightly better than I have.

At that res I doubt you'd even need a 3870, save some $$ and get a 3850.

UT3 isnt that demanding however it is multithreaded. Anyways I'd go for the GT 512 or the 3870.

Just for a kinda comparisons sake, my previous setup e6750 with 7900gs, UT3 runs OK at 1280x1024. Not perfect but eh. The GT, runs it perfectly tho.
