Bought Nano for the wife

After she saw my iPhone, she decided she wanted something Apple to play music for running, but also something that could play movies for the kids in a pinch. We settled on the Nano (Purple, her favorite color).

Now we need to accessorize a little. First and foremost, we need an armband for running. What do people use and/or recommend?

Do we need a screen cover? If so, suggestions?

What about a non-arm band case/sleeve/cover?

Since she wants it for running, get her the nike sport kit. It does not require nike running shoes as there are little pouches that the sensor can go into for ~$5-6.

If you go this route, do not buy the nike armband. Check out the reviews of the armbands in the apple store. They may have fixed some of the problems I had with the nike armband for the newer generation of nanos, but I doubt it. For the Nano 3g models, the velcro fails after a few runs and the sweat will get into the area where the ipod is held. For the 3g nanos, the best armband i have used is the apple armband. I have tried the belkin, nike, apple, and i think a dlo armband until i settled on the apple.

Most armbands will have some sort of cover to go over the screen.
