Well, they ARE old, but at that price range I'm surprised you weren't looking at the cream of the crop. I sold my nice-condition '89 (the best year), WITH a tow hitch, for $2100 a couple of years ago.

That said, they are enormously fun but somewhat impractical cars, and you aren't getting 30 MPG combined out of one. The Nissan should serve you better in most ways, sans the fun.😉

damn I found an 89 too for $1900, everything looks darn near perfect, except the seller didn't post pics about the damage right side until i called; while it didn't look extensive (scrapes to the right air duct area), but i am worrying the seller is hiding more stuff too.

but yours is non-supercharged right? I would think the 4AGE would get 30mpg.
