Bought Cuphead

WHAT a bad ass game, wish I had bought the deluxe PC version that comes with the sound track. I've been video gaming since Pong days and I've always been just okay at side scrollers. As every review mentions this freaking game is damn hard. I died a lot, even in the 1st training level. It frustrates me, but not in a way where I want to throw my Xbox controller thru thru the window. If you haven't heard of this game or seen video of it, Youtube it! It feels exactly like you're playing a 20's cartoon. Hand drawn and hand animated with an absolutely perfect old-timey feel. I've only gotten to play it for about half an hour this morning, but already this is one of the best games I've played in ages. The one boss battle I've done had me fighting a huge potato, a giant crying onion and carrot.

Best $20 I could have spent on anything, you get the PC version too.

It is in 4K on the normal PS4 slim too. I think I might buy this just to play it in 4k.
It's X1 and PC exclusive, not out on PS4. I really wish it was available for Switch because I'd rather play with that d-pad than the X1 controller. I'd take it on PS4 over both of those too.

I will probably snag it once I get my X1X. I'm planning on trading in my PS4 and X1 shortly towards a PS4 Pro so I won't have an X1 until Taco Bell sends me my X1X. Meanwhile I'm still playing Golf Story.

But everything I hear about Cuphead is great. I look forward to it.

Has Taco Bell suspected you of cheating the system with how many game consoles you've won from them? 😛
LOL probably. They give a free daily code and were giving them away every 10 minutes. With a few different email accounts, I've gotten lucky lol.

Definitely wasn't planning on buying an X1. I haven't gamed on it in ages. Last time I turned it on was to watch GoT.

Just put it on mu work PC and it runs well. Will play even more tonight on my gaming PC and XB1S. Really digging it.

While it's not available on the Switch, there's a PC streaming app they're working on that is demoing Cuphead running on the Switch:

Also, I really want to play this game... but I also don't have a lot of patience for incredibly hard games anymore. I'm so torn

I won't be able to get this until X1X comes out as I no longer have an X1 at the current time. Probably a good thing since I have South Park and Mario comes out next week anyways.

I wanted to get it but I've little patience for extremely difficult games anymore. Stuff like Ninja Gaiden, Contra, Mega Man etc just don't do anything for me these days. I just don't have time to master a game to that point even though a large percentage of my free time is spent playing video games, my free time is not the same as it was as a kid. Plus I'm probably not as good as I once was which doesn't help.

Me either, but I am REALLY liking this game. It is indeed difficult, but it is so beautiful to look at while playing.

GREAT game, I shall never beat it thought. I don't even think by luck I can. I could see ragers breaking controllers and worse. It's so fun and the graphics are so amazing but there will be no victory dance as I'll never see the end 🙁

I accidentally recorded a clip and was watching it, there's so much going on graphically you just won't pick up on while you're playing.

I bought the new physical copy for XBone. I don't own an XBone yet, but I enjoy collecting exclusives. The box said buying it would give me the PC version, too, so when they said at the register I'd receive the product key in my email I wasn't alarmed. However, I found out when I got home that there was no disc in the case! First I've seen that before. Such a waste of plastic. Hopefully Best Buy will let me return it.

This is how Killer Instinct was as well. At least at some point.

They had a physical copy? I thought it was only available on XBL, though it may have been available as a complete edition that I didn’t know about.
They had a bonus physical copy at launch called Pin Ultimate Edition that came with some bonus content but had a code for the game, there was no disc. It's the version I bought at launch:

But they also finally released a disc version once season 3 was complete (I think that's when it came out)

They also had another version on disc called Combo Breaker edition.

On a Cuphead note, I actually sat down for like 30 minutes and played it some last night. It's definitely a fun game but it's hard. But it's not too hard to the point that it makes me pissed off and not want to play again. I like that the levels are short so if you die it's not much time wasted, and I like how it shows you how far through the level you had progressed before dying.

The thing I didn't realize about this game is how many "boss fights" it has. It's like 75% of the levels I've played so far are just boss fights. I thought it was going to be more run and gun stages with bosses every now and then.
