Well the 26 pack knock offs that were 8 bucks. Anyone use these while they sleep? I have been seeing the commercial for breath right strips and have often wondered about them since I breath through my freaking mouth at night and I'm tired of it! When I wake up my mouth is all dry. Also, I can not sleep right. So tonight is the test.

sleep apnea????

If you have sleep apnea and are relying just on those little breath right things youre probably on a quick road to brain damage.

Poor sleep and horrible dry mouth, I hear ya. I've started using them every night instead of just occasionally and it's made a big difference in my sleep. My nasal passages are very small. It takes very little to restrict them to the point that I can't breath through my nose effectively. I'd rather do the strips at night than to continually take medication which is frankly, not as effective.

The drug store ones are inferior to the name brand strips. They are enticing because they are much cheaper but they are not as effective - for me. If you're not satisfied with the results from the off brand, spring for a box of the name brand before giving up on them. I went from name brand to off brand and back to the real ones because they work so much better.

I knew a guy with the same problem I have that had his nasal passages roto-rooted surgically. He said he loved the results but the procedure and the recovery were very unpleasant.

I tried the name brand ones and they didn't do much for me. It helps for a few minutes as things are more "open" then they were, but then not long after I lie down I'm plugged up again. So I guess they do what they're advertised for, my body just doesn't care and plugs me up anyway.

If you are congested I don't see how they would help, sure it's opening the airways and that'll help immediately for a bit. Until whatever is congesting you fills the new void...

edit: @OP get a sleep study done. These things won't replace a cpap device if it's needed.

I have some minor snoring issues (not a fatty BTW) and my wife says these help when I wear them. That is all.

So he's quite literally a mouth breather. Someone not on his ever growing ignore list please quote this so he sees it.

I use them as an anti-snore because I can't seem to get enough air through my nose at night, either. They work great when I'm otherwise healthy but if I am suffering from a cold or have some allergy thing going on that introduces the least bit of congestion then they don't help.

Actually, its the heart valves that take a beating with untreated OSA.

Had two head colds in the space of a month and a half after this past winter. I tried those strips for the first time and they did help a bit with breathing at night (well, between them and over counter cold medications).
