Nice weapon Jlee. I would love to get a AK47 myself. its amazing that a gun that cheaply made and massed produced is so darn good.



edit: heh my wife keeps telling me i need to get something for the home. the other night we were both in my office whent the garage door opened on its own. i grabbed a bat and went to look. didnt see anything or tracks in the snow. then latter that night she swears she heard someone down stairs walking and doors openining. again i went down with the bat ut didnt see anything. But now that we have her little sister all the extra cash we have is gone for a while. blah

the Ar-18 was Armalite's attempt to replace the AR-15 after they sold the AR-15 to Colt. It was a simplified and cheapre rifle made to try and compete with the AK47 at the time. It was then sold to Howa (Japanese) and Sterling Armorments (UK). It never gained wide spread acceptance and only 20K rifles were ever made. It looks like an HK FAL

Aimsurplus had some that you could call in about. They never advertised it, I just lucked out and read it on ar15.com in their forum.

Don't think they are taking any more orders. I had to wait about 6 weeks backorder anyways.

LOL, love that site. I picked up a 91/30 sniper a couple months ago. Been doing a lot of research learning about that family of rifles. There's some cool history there.
