Bought A Soyo 24" (DYLM24D6) on BF

essential

Senior member
I bought a Soyo 24" (DYLM24D6) yesterday, and everyone else is right, for the price, this monitor is great.

My only complaint is it has a slight buzzing/humming noise while it's on. It's defiantly coming from the monitor, the noise goes away when it's off. I thought it was coming from the built in speakers even though I wasn't using them, but when I turned their volume down to zero though the monitors control panel thing, the noise remained.

Anyone experience this? If it's normal i'll live with it, but if it's only me I may try to exchange it.

Thanks.

Thanks osage, I read through that thread and others have experienced this problem. I'm going to exchange mine tomorrow. I'm mad though, there were no dead/stuck pixels on the one I had. With my luch the new one with have no buzzing but a couple dead pixels.

I got one yesterday also and mine is great. No noises. No dead pixels, great looking screen, awesome price..... I love it. I would marry it and make sweet love to it all night long in the Bahamas on our honeymoon if I could.

I put my Neo-Flex monitor stand on it and it looks/works even better than it did out of the box.

What a deal.

Good luck with yours, I hope you get a good one.

I don't think you can get one without buzzing. Maybe one that will buzz less, but you won't get a silent one. Me and my family got a bunch of these monitors and they all buzz/hum. You'll either have to learn to live with it or return the monitor.

Got one also on BF. I checked for buzzing and have none. But I also took someones advice and turned down the volume of the integrated speakers to zero since I'm using the units already connected to my system.

Mine seems to be almost completely silent. I've turned it off and on and heard no difference. Of course it is sitting next to my PC with a few fans.
