Make sure you let me know when the house warming is. I've got a credit with American Airlines.![]()

Nice house, not bad at all for less than 160K and 1700 sq ft w/ 4 beds and 2 baths, but 20 years old.
Property is not that high either. Cheaper than Texas for sure. Congrats.

If you do not mind me asking but how much are you paying total with insurance/loan?

wow, i'm confused... why did you offer more than they were asking? how is 3% of your closing costs ~=$5000???
I'm also in the middle of buying a house and our total closing costs are ~$6k and the sellers are willing to pay $2k, so that's 33%, is your 3% a typo?

I'm still holding my breath until the inspections are done.
Why should I pay for a report, and let them see it? If they are that interested - they should get one for themselves. What if I let them see a copy, and they tell me to pound sand? I've paid to make it easier for them and the next offer that may come along. Like I said the caveat of a seller seeing the potential buyer's report, is that legally, anything found detrimental on the report has to be put in their seller's disclosure statement.Originally posted by: mugs
Why was that your first reaction? What's the upside to withholding it?

That partition between the living room and the kitchen looks really odd. Maybe that can be turned into a counter or something

OP you sure are weird, but enjoy your new home.

Bonus advice: If you want to sell a house, find a realtor that can take pictures of more than a corner of a room. "Oh look, it's the spot where two walls meet! It's my dream home!"

I could not agree more about the "clean the place" comment. I also remember going into houses that smelled like wet dog or worse. At the very least, bake some god damned muffins or brew a pot of coffee, or something.
