i went into the dealer just wanting to look at the car, but walked out with a brand new accord SE. this was pretty much the car i wanted, and i got the exact color and interior i wanted also.

when i was searching reviews, i found out someone in NJ got the car for 18,200. MSRP is 23,000, give or take. since i'm in CA, you have to tack on the CA emissions charge on top of it. the 18,200 was the starting negotiating point, since they wanted 25,000 out the door.

after much hemming, hawing, and my bf getting up several times, we got the car for 18,500, and after destination charges it was 19,100. the total is a bit under 21,000 out the door with tax/title/registration/etc.

Good buy! If nothing else, Hondas have great resale value.

"i went into the dealer just wanting to look at the car, but walked out with a brand new . . . "

Congratulations Cindy :)

We have the previous generation, 02 Honda Accord SE.

I get the urge to upgrade but we just passed the 25,000 mark last week.

Hopefully we'll take a few long drives to central/southern Oregon and up north.

Nice, when I looked at accords I ended up deciding on the '06 V6 EX-L with Navi and everything. Silver with black leather interior. It's truly a sweet car, rides sporty, smokes those stupid mustangs, and is very reliable.

That $199 a month lease is absolutely the best deal on the planet, for anyone wanting to lease. :)

Not a big Honda fan, but if I wanted that kind of a car, that is a deal.

The Accord is a fine car, but it's not smoking any mustangs..

Congrats! OT, but my dad bought a new Toyota Camry (V6) yesterday. :p

those things are damn quick. those run low 14's stock.

Not that I disagree with you, but where did you hear/read about V6 Camrys running low 14's in the 1/4? I haven't been able to find any such information.

For the record, I recently purchased a new 2007 Camry XLE V6 w/Nav. + every other available option. Love the car!

Great, now we're gonna have this huge population, who can't drive worth a damn, running around, doing 14's with a turban on.
