Pikmin 1 and 2
Super Monkey Ball
Paper Mario - By far my favorite game on the GC! I don't like RPGs, but damn that game was great!
Super Mario Smash Brothers

Try out some of the 4-player RPGs. They're plenty of fun.

Zelda: Four Swords
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
Tales of Symphonia

A few to try out...

Super Mario Sunshine
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2
Super Smash Brothers Melee
Paper Mario 2
Mario Power Tennis
Mario Golf
Super Monkey Ball 2
Resident Evil 4
Pikmin
Pikmin 2
Viewtiful Joe
Viewtiful Joe 2

I would stay away from the Mario Party games unless you have a few people to play with. The single player isn't worth it. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will also be coming out on the Gamecube this year, if your not planning to get a Wii.

The graphics are really bad compared to my PS2 but Mario Cart is fun.

I'm sorry, but what are you smoking there? The GC in game graphics are far better than the PS2. Only FMVs on some PS2 games are better than the GC graphics.

My wife and I have a bunch of Mario Party games. We find they can't be beat for having another couple over for a game night. Good fun.

well if you wait a few more months one of the best "hopefully" games will come out and that is the new Zelda game for GC.
Not alot of people liked Baten kaitos but i enjoyed it and im looking forward to the prequel since it takes place 20 years before what happened in the first one.

Based on the responses in this thread, that's clearly what the OP should do. Do you think before you say something, or just spew whatever ****** comes out of your ass?

he would rather support companies that boast graphics rather than companies that actually put out creative, well thought out and well developed games

I've got the cube and 2 ps2's and the xbox 360 now. If I only had my cube....easy choices.

Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime ; Echoes

Resident Evil 4 - Best Resident Evil Game EVER. Graphics are amazing , AI is ridiculously lifelike. RIDICULOUS!!

Eternal Darkness - Awesome game , this game will mess with your mind!!!!! Great gameplay....and you won't be able to put it down once you get going.

Zelda - Wind Waker , and the play was perfect. (Twighlight Princess coming this fall)

Those would be my picks , and are the reason I keep my cube plugged into my entertainment system. The pickup and replay value is awesome on all of those.
I've played Mario Sunshine , and it's definately fun , but gets REALLY HARD. Timesplitters 2 and Timesplitters future perfect were cool.....and pick up a wireless controller...the Wavebird is an awesome controller. And I reccomend a good set of cables so you can use at least S-video..

Just bought a Nintendo Gamecube yesterday. I have Mario Kart Double Dash and Zelda: The Wind Waker. The graphics are really bad compared to my PS2 but Mario Cart is fun.

Anyway what are some fun games for this thing?

Oh and Happy Canada Day.

OP:

Get cheap 20 dollar games for gamecube, you'll thank me later

Mario Golf $8 at Kmart
Zelda Windwaker $8 at Kmart
Baten Kaitos $15 at Toys R Us

tons more "greatest hits" for 20 bucks. i still do not understand why Mario Kart DD is NOT a greatest hits yet. 30 bucks is a ripoff when the game has been out for more than 2 years.

2 more great gems to come before the swan song (called Wii)
Zelda Twilight Princess
Super Paper Mario

Used games at GameStop and EBGames too! I got a ton of great games for < $10. $10 is probably about average for the games I buy. F-Zero GX for $7!
