bought a d60

I'm a pretty busy guy, and have been mowing over the idea of getting a dslr camera for a while. I was looking at the Canon's and Nikons. I told myself I would wait for the right deal, but this weekend I found myself with plenty of time to take a road trip and go snap some photos. So I decided to just open up the weekly newspaper ads and see if there was a reasonable deal. I found the Nikon d60 with an 18-55mm lens with a second 55-200m lens for $899. Not the best deal, as I found the whole thing for about $100 cheaper and without sales tax at Amazon. However, I know several managers at Best buy, and really wanted to have the camera that weekend so I could take pics.

So I bought it.. with camera bag, 4GB SD Card, and a flash, it was just under $1100. I know I could have found it cheaper, but I'm doing alright with cash and income and didn't want to waste any more time looking for a great deal.

I guess you should keep an eye on those weekly circulars for the next month for a chance at a PM~

Yea I actually spent a good chunk of the weekend snapping photos.

I have a friend who's been depressed lately, and I told him to shower up and put on something nice. His backyard, with an old wooden fence and a small garden made for a nice backdrop, and I took about 200 different portfolio type shots for him.

Left him with about 10 awesome pics, probably the best pics he's ever seen of himself.
