Bought a bulova watch that won't fit on my arm

I bought a bulova watch on ebay advertised as new. It appears new - it is in a nice bulova box with a tag on it. However, when I went to put it on, it won't fit on my arm! I'm a big guy but not huge (6'1" 240lbs). This has never happened to me with a watch - it is always too big to start.

Did I get screwed and buy a used watch that was advertised as new, or is this typical of bulova watches? Also, if this is typical, is there a way to add links to the band that look the same?

I have a very difficult time finding a watch that comes with a band that fits. MOST strap-type bands won't buckle past the first hole, (if at all) and most metal bands won't fasten. I always end up having to buy a replacement band in extra-long.

Sounds like the watch has already been sized for a smaller person. Your size is not so extreme that an out-of-the-box watch shouldn't fit you fine (indeed, I would expect that any new watch would need a link or two removed to fit you).

Was it the This Is Sparta! version? That kind goes around your upper arm. If not, just take it to the watch store and get some links taken out.

op already said it was too small.

it may have been new but sized at the jeweler...normally you throw the spare links back in the watch box, but some people are dense.
