Bought 2 HD Drives but only one shows up in the OS.....

Hey guys,

Windows is not reconizing my one of my HDD, My primary Drive is running Windows XP and the other one I bought for storage is not showing up, what can be causing this ?
FYI : checked the bios and it's there.

Check using administrative tools (computer management, disk manager or whatever it is in XP)

You can't use hard drives until after they've been formatted. To format a drive, do this in XP: right-click on My Computer, select Manage from the drop-down box, then select Disk Management (in the lefthand pane), then right-click on your unformatted drive, and select Format.
