bottlenecking?

Hey everyone, just a quick question.

Recently I bought an x850xt (agp) that was a great steal at a local computer store and am pairing that with 1gb crucial pc3200 in dual-channel, an abit nf7-s, and an amd xp 2500+ mobile o'ced 2.4ghz. With a raptor hard drive. Right now, bf2 seems to run well, since i've tweeked the settings, and it runs best at about medium for online play. Well, I have read numerous reviews from sites that review the game on high with 4xaa and they're getting very good fps. I'm not sure that if I bought a new cpu, possilby a skt939 64, that that would provide some more opening for my gfx card to perform more. Thanks for the opinions!

BTW I ran 3dmark05 and performed way over a lot of 6800's and such. I can check my exact score, but I know as far as that goes, I was performing about average for my card.

the mobile chips i believe have this energy saving function...they are designed to use less battery power when they are not being used fully. try turning that off if you can. if you cant... just go ahead and grab that 3700+ san diego core for around 220$ (that includes shipping)
and oc that badboy. i think if you still dont see good results, slap the thing with the computer be good stick. also check the mhz rating on your videocard's cpu and ram...sometimes for somereason some run slower than others out of the box..requiring a manual reset... (almost like overclocking) also be sure u dont confuse the xt with the platinum edition. thats all i can suggest.
