You might be hard pressed to find one with a direct comparison... I know when this site reviews new stuff they will ususally toss in an Athlon XP 3200+.... taht is the closest you will get I'm afraid
If you're in the 3000+ / 3ghz area already then going with a newer DX9 video card makes much more sense. With an Athlon 64 3200+ you might see 10 -15% higher framerates (depending on what resolution), but you probably won't notice it while actually playing a game. I'd say get the video card and then wait until they bring out a platform significantly faster than a 4000+...say 5000+ or dual core. Although I do think a vanilla 6800 would be a better choice since you can unlock the extra pipelines and get pretty close to the GT's performance for a much lower price.
