Bottleneck !!!

I've been playing S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-SoC for a while, but now it's becoming terrible.I mean,at the beginning it was fine, playable at 1024x768.But now everytime I start the game,CPU graph in taskmanager zooms up to 100% and stays there until I close the game. Results is xtremely choppy, lagging gameplay. My specs are:-

Intel DG31GL mobo
Intel Pentium Dual core @ 2.5 Ghz E5200
Transcend 2x2 GB DDR2 RAM
Seagate Barrracuda 250 GB HDD @ 7200 rpm
Frontech 450 W PSU
LG l177WSB 17" LCD TFT Monitor

So,help me decide what is bottlenecking me-CPU or onboard video chipset?

its your onboard video that is the bottleneck by a long shot. even with a better gpu, that game should not even be fully using both cores so I dont see how its going to 100% unless you have an issue somewhere.

So it's my onboard video that is the bottleneck.

Well I'm soon going to college so right now I'll not take a new rig.Thought I might upgrade somethings on this to make it game.I'll soon get the HD 7770 and a LGA 775 mobo with PCIe 2.0

So you are playing a 3D FPS and you weren't sure if your onboard video was the problem?

Yes onboard video is obviously a bottleneck. But that doesn't mean that my CPU usage will scale to 100% whenever I turn on the game.I mean, why is CPU usage going to 100%?I know at low res gaming load shifts from GPU to CPU,but will it be allright if I plug in a HD 7770??

It will be a lot better than what you have now.
