no. P4 3.0 Ghz HT would not be a bottleneck for your 9800 PRO 256. As for the X800 XT, I am not sure.

It shouldn't bottleneck an x800xt either. What i have heard is that for the new generation of graphics cards, you want either a p4 2.8 or more, a athlon xp 3200, or an athlon 64 to not bottleneck the card.

9800Pro is going to bottleneck your CPU is what he is saying.

As for the XT... well the 6800Ultra(E) and GT and the X800XT(PE) are going to bottleneck (though might be very little) most any cpu out there except an FX-55. You should be just fine though with the 3ghz it will hold back a little but just crank up the resolution and IQ settings and youll be straight.

yup yup. I had a 9600SE bottlenecking my P4 3.6Ghz EE but when I upgraded to a MSI 6600GT and Leadtek 6600GT (both AGPs) the bottleneck disappeared. AWeSOME OPOSSUM I TELL YOU!
