bottled water conspiracy?

ok.. i just went and bought 2 little bottles of water for $2 total. and i was just thinking to myself.. why does this cost MORE then a gallon of gas? i don't get it.. shouldn't GAS cost more to pump, refine, ship, and distribute? all you have to do with water is filter, bottle, and distribute. Are the bottled water companies making a killing???? someone please rationalize this cuz i can't at all.
 
Also seems like the smaller the bottle the more expensive it is. It costs more for a (89 cents) 1.5 liter bottle of Price Chopper bottled water than a (59 cents) gallon of the same water.
Anyways I refill my bottles till they go bad so I get my 59 or 89 cents worth.
 
yes they make lotsa money...i still dont understand why people buy so much bottled water. I will on occasion, but if im at home i just use my brita.

Of course they are making a killing on bottled water. Especially stuff like Aquafina, which just comes from local water supplies.

Much rather have a filtered water than bottled water, at least that way I know it actually has been filtered.
 
I'll tell you what the conspiracy is with bottled water. It contains mind-altering chemicals. It causes people to use over-repeated catch phrases, drives people to wear visors and purchase vehicles such as Jeep Cherokees, and Ford explorers, Causes drinkers to listen to jazz, causes women to hyphenate thier last names, and men to own cats. This according to a recent study 🙂
 
Why anybody would pay a buck for a bottle of water blows my mind. You can buy beer for less. The only conspiracy is that people are still suckered into buying all this stuff.

Now, I do have 4 4 gallon tubs of water in my cubboard but they were only $.63 each and I bought them because my tap water doesn't taste so good. I mix gatorade powder with them and throw them in the fridge but I sure as hell don't buy singles of water!
 
I buy Arrowhead, it doesn't have TASTE to it like Evian, Dassani and Aquafina,

I heard that Europe's tap water is better in quality than our bottled water.

I agree with the Cherokee driving, hyphenated name, cat owning male theory.
