Boting into DOS on Win2k

Just drag io.sys, command.com and msdos.sys to a floppy, also drag in there the bios file and a bios flasher program...then reboot and follow instructions. Some mobo makers also have a windows based bios flash util for dummies :) that always works.

I doubt that will work because io.sys and msdos.sys have size 0 under Windows 2000.

Instead, try: http://www.bootdisk.com/

ok creatin a boot disk is a 4 disk thing same with gooin to bootdisk.com. and all that does is take you to teh win2k setup screne or is itteh way and we are just morons and cant figure it out

Yep. Or a 95 or Me for that matter. Get them at bootdisk.com.

Thats odd? Just last nite i opened io.sys and msdos.sys in note pad on win2k they seemed to have stuff inside then i coppied them onto a disk and it worked just fine :)
