Boston PIzza's Pizza Burger

This looks to be ground beef, topped with pepperoni and tomato sauce, wrapped in a bun. A typical slize to a typical New Yorker... maybe, but this thing scares the shit out of me. Well, actually, I'm really only afraid of the bun.

Anyway, here's the ad for the burger:

Is Boston Pizza a Canadian chain? The CEO is on Dragon's Den, which is a show that airs on CBC.

I want to try this, but I had a friend who had a heart attack after eating a KFC double down. No joke.
🙁

Can't find any calorie information on this. BP's nutrition information is here: http://www.bostonpizza.com/en/nutrition/ and doesn't include it... perhaps because it's a new menu item.

Anyway, 1/2 pound of, I assume, 73/27 ground beef, a bunch of cheese, wrapped in a pizza crust. I'll guess it's around 1000 calories. /shrug

they should make a pizza dog burger lasagna smash sandwich.

wtf is with people and food? i mean, i know i dont understand, i pretty much live off cardboard, but why do people have to mix everything to make it 'better'? what are you going to have tomorrow? a pepperoni pizza wrapped in a bacon burger?

I've had it twice now and I must say it is amazing (haven't tried the 4 cheese one but the pepperoni/bacon is godly). It isn't as bad for you as one might think. The thing is that all of their burgers are a half lb so there's no difference here. There is also no bun, instead there is a thin layer of dough so that also balances out. The only issue I have with it is it is deep fried and I would prefer baked. Even when I get a panzo I get them baked

Also, sorry OP but the KFC double down did not give your friend a heart attack. That isn't how the body works

I like how you signed up for an account just to set the record straight on the Pizza Burger and the Double Down. 😀

I didn't say the double down caused the heart attack; maybe I eluded to that. I think his diet in general led to that, and the KFC down exemplifies his diet. The fact that he had the heart attack shortly after eating the double down was probably just coincidence.

I've had a double down. I like the taste, but it's a bit too salty.

I tried a double down once. You know that feeling you get of nausea and regret you get after eating two hot pockets? Imagine that x10.

100% Canadian beef. Our half-pound prime rib beef burger wrapped in a pepperoni pizza. Stuffed with bacon, pizza mozzarella and our signature pizza sauce, topped with even more pepperoni and pizza mozzarella, then baked to perfection. Garnished with lettuce, tomato and pickle.

lame.. 13$? wtf is wrong with all you people that eat out and eat garbage.. pay money to be fat? hmmm shocking how people line up to pay lots of money for inferior food 😉

The burger was very underwhelming. The bacon was so thin that I thought they'd forgotton to put it on at first. Does anybody remember when McDonald's used to use that round slice of bacon on their burgers? It was quite a while ago; the bacon on the PizzaBurger was just like that. I'm not sure why the description says topped with even more pepperoni either, as there wasn't any inside only three on the top. No cheese inside the burger, and the cheese on top was dried out - that burned brown colour. The beef patty was a bit dry as well.

I can't recommend this burger at all. It has nothing to do with the general unhealthiness of the burger. It's just not worth $13.

My wife and I went to this tiny hole-in-the wall korean restaraunt last night. We ordered barbeque beef ribs, bulgogi, tofu and seafood stew, shrimp dumplings, three beers and an iced tea. The servings were huge, Everything was delicious, and came out to $58; that price includes an $8.50 tip. I will pretty much go back to this restaraunt whenever I want to eat out again.
