Searched but didn't see anything about this. Didn't San Diego get a bad rap last year for planning their parade prior to losing to the Pats? Cart before the horse and all that.

Not that this will matter. I'm sure the Giants will still lose. Just thought it was interesting, and if you believe in karma, a little stupid.

meh... both teams have superbowl champion hats made, and SI already has 2 Superbowl books printed both waiting to go on sale 30 seconds after the final gun...
this is nothing.

this happens every year... the losing team just has their merchandice destroyed and never sold...

Better keep that underwraps... I read somewhere that the losing teams merchandise is unlicensed for sale... someone could get in big trouble (million dollar fines) if it wasnt destroyed.

I thought I saw a program on TV that explained the merchandise was sent to poor folks in Africa or something like that.

So how is that any different than this book by the New York Post? Same theme, same publisher, same number of pages. Like others have explained regarding championship hats and T-shirts, they're covering both outcomes.

Stupid New York Post. There should not be an apostrophe in "Road Warriors." It is plural, not possessive.

You're right though, although technically that book would still be applicable if they lose since they are the NFC champions and it was pretty incredible that they won all of their road games including 3 in the playoffs. :)

This is different because I didn't find that book :D

I understand going ahead and creating the book to go to print immediately, but if I were the publisher or especially a part of either organization I wouldn't want this out there on Amazon.

There's a huge difference, The book is not being published by the new england patriots, it's being published by a newspaper owned by the New York Times. The Patriots have nothing to do with this.

But this reminds me, one of those AFC Championship games that the Patriots beat the Colts to eventually win the superbowl, the Colts had created AFC Championship t-shirts for sale on the colts website before the colts and patriots even played the game. Belichick showed that to his players and got them riled up and beat you guys :p

Why? Because it's going to sell like hot cakes. Same goes for the Red Sox memorabilia items, I'll just wait until they discount it further at Macys. :p
