Who committed the Boston Marathon Bombing?

  • U.S. Government -- black flag operation

  • Anti-Tax Militia. It's Tax Day, after all.

  • Foreign-born Islamicists

  • Domestic-born Islamicists (sudden jihad syndrome?)

  • Christian Extremists

  • The Jews!

  • Mexican Drug Lords

  • The Mafia

  • Saddam Hussein's Operatives (the George Bush option)

  • Lone nut who doesn't fit any of the above categories

I see no option for progressive eco-kooks who did it to draw attention to the excessive amount of CO2 exhaled by all the runners.

If there is no eco-kook angle, I'm still going with the progressives. Them mofos be crazy.

Good point. The ball bearings suggest a radical Islamist but there is a chance it could be the secular progressives/leftists as well.

The scale, method, and the seemingly random target indicates lone nut.

I love how the usual suspects are in here blaming each other.

ZOMG LIBERALS BOMBED BOSTON!

NO STUPID CONSERVATIVES BOMBED BOSTON!

Can't you guys put the cat-fight on hold for 5 minutes? :D

Far too much me team vs their team in people to just stop and think about how stupid they look and sound. People want to be able to say see I told you so. None will come back after the fact to say wow, I really was just being a complete hack when they are proven wrong.

Waco, Texas: April 19, 1993
Oklahoma City: April 19, 1995
Columbine: April 20, 1999
Virginia Tech: April 16, 2007
Boston: April 15, 2013 (Tax Day, Patriot Day)

The timing as well as crudeness of the bomb and lack of "chatter" leads me to believe this was a lone wolf scenario. Either a domestic nut job or an international student here on a visa.

Which is akin to arguing that because lots of people die of heart disease it makes no sense to fund research for cancer.

What it's saying is that our government CAN NOT protect us... we need to be able to protect ourselves . . .

then why target civilians? why not go after the government. . . "right wing extremists" = anarchists = anti-government . . .

why not at a federal building?

Because ultimately, guys like James Yaeger and Tim McVeigh are cowards.

edit: Tim McVeigh hit a federal building. but he wouldn't dare attack say a US army base.

So not going after an entire base of armed people as a "lone wolf" makes you a coward?

Yes. Attacking unarmed civilians and calculating an attack on people who are not armed and cannot fight back is cowardice.
