no problem man! I ended up leaving too late to hit the T and had to take a nice long walk back to the hotel through an endless sea of homeless folks and dimly lit streets...

i think manlymatt83 and the bartender from corner cafe are doing dinner tonight and/or tomorrow night for the game if you're interested
 
Sorry guys...I arrived late (even brought my gf). By the time we got there, we were wiped and did not feel like bugging every table with "ATOT???" Rather than just having 1 drink and go, we decided to just head back to our nice air conditioned bedroom to "watch" the game.

We were all lined up at the bar. That's a bullshit excuse. I was there until 2:30 AM, last one to leave as usual.

well, some of us are planning to just hit up some place for dinner tonight, as well as maybe get together at a bar or something for game 7, so it's really a week long meet! 😉
 
Joe & pd: I just found out that I have to be at Logan at 8:00 to pick my friend up. I was actually probably gonna head over to Logan soon and grab some dinner at the Legal there. It isn't *as good* as the ones downtown (frankly, it's a miniature one), but I'd like to get there early. Joe, care to join? Joe bartender can't do dinner tonight, but is pretty sure he can meet up tomorrow.

SO how about this for a schedule:

1) Let's skip dinner tonight unless you want to join me at the airport Legal
2) Let's schedule dinner tomorrow, 7 PM, place to be named, but we'll meet at Park Street Station at 7 PM. That way, at least we have a time and can figure out the place from there. Then, we'll go watch the game.

Sound good?
 
Sounds like a good plan to me, I will just eat near my hotel tonight and have a quiet evening then meet up with you guys tomorrow for game 7
 
I'll shoot yall a text to let you for sure but I'm probably out for tomorrow. I was out tonight in harvard square grabbing a burger and am over at my lady friends again so I'll probably crash tomorrow right after work.

Joe, are you still in town Friday night? I am driving to connecticut at some point but I might hang in the city Friday and drive to CT saturday morning.

I was up at 6 so I'm definitely out for tonight, I'll be cheering on the Celtics from the hotel bar, you guys have a good time!

Haha I'll be in Connecticut from either Friday night or Saturday morning until Sunday at about 3. I am busy all day saturday with family but Sunday might work, PM me and maybe we can figure something out.

yeah man i'm home safe. Thanks for hanging out with me on some extra days, eating alone sucks! I can only talk to the bartenders about booze for so long before we both get bored of it
 
Gibson, I'll give Newbury comics a solid meh. Something like a hot topic mixed with a music shop. Fortunately, whoever orders the vinyl for that store has some good taste and I was able to find a couple of gems. Tooled around that area for a few hours, found a pretty decent French restaurant. Train system is pretty weak but does the job.

Likely going to Neptune tonight, any recommendations for non-touristy restaurants? Read about this one before. I'm in Chinatown currently, pretty decent from what I've seen thus far.

Yup, they have turned rather trendy....but they still manage to cater to the non trendy crowd rather well. They could just do the music portion, but they would turn into Tower records and close down.
 
Back in Chitown.. took an earlier flight.

Overall, Boston is a cool little city for sure. Everyone was pretty friendly overall. Very interesting to see how progressive it is.
ISIS/Melvins shows were fucking epic.. easily one of the most important-to-me musical events that I've ever been a part of.
