This config seem to be upgradeable acording to the Boston Acoustics Support SiteFAQ:

Q. Can I add speakers to my 2-channel system?
A. Generally, our speaker systems are designed for specific needs and are not expandable. However, the BA7500G 3-piece system offered by Gateway, as well as the Digital Media Theater system (discontinued), do have surround speaker options. Please email our Tech Support Team for further details.

does anyone know if this will work without having a SPDIF output on your sound card? The review at 3DSS said that it had a digital input as well as analog front and rear inputs.

Just wondering, how would you convert a mini-plug to RCA for digital? Could you use the same adapter as for analog signals? Thx
