Boss is looking for another car for his wife

Most are selling at MSRP here for the 'verts.

I found a dealer willing to go to $33,100 (+tag, tax, title) with mats and painted pinstripes (quoted as a $600 option...) even. Options are ZPP Premium Pack ($1000), ZSP sport pack ($1500), 205 auto ($1250), 655 Sirus ($500), 6NE Comfort Bluetooth/USB/iPod ($1000)...net with destination is 34,300 MSRP...so it's about 1,200 below list not counting the mats/pinstripes which I am looking as just freebies.

anyone know dealers on the East Coast willing to do better?

Yes, there is more room on inventory hatchbacks, but not many have inventory convertables.

Looking for someone that knows, rather than thinks they can google.

Out of curiousity, did you notice the extent to which they were dealing on the base Mini? I was looking hard at them about a year ago but the dealer made it clear they wouldn't budge off list (including the pinstripe type options). I felt more like I was seeking admission into an exclusive country club than buying a car.

I worked with someone that had a convertable mini and people kept trying to buy it off her.

So dealers are holding onto them here as well.

Yeah I mentioned that...most simply told us "We don't NEED to sell below list" to paraphrase.

We found a guy eager to deal when he found out my boss pretty much upgrades his cars each year with new. His last were a SC430, LS460 (or whatever the top is), SL600, etc...sometimes he upgrades 2-3x a year.

We are looking at basically a 5% break on the car pricing. Some did have stripped down inventory cars (most weren't even S models) they'd be willing to let go cheaper.

Especially if he replaces a car each year or maybe 2-3X/year, I am surprised he cares about some savings on a car of this price.

I had that same thought, though it appears he probably won't take much of a depreciation hit on this one like the others.

only idiots would not care.

You guys get so jealous of the stupidest things yet believe other crap that is even debunked on snopes.

Anyway it's not my choice of car, but what would you dudes buy at the $35k mark for a convertible that's as trendy as the mini.

Across the board it's pretty well reviewed by consumer and editor.

Not my deal, but please list them...NEW cars.

convertible mini's are pretty rare and in demand down here in S. Florida.

VW EOS - trendy
VW Beetle 'vert - trendy
350Z convertible
Saturn Sky - only a 2-seater with not much trunk space

And if they are willing to pay a few more dollars:
Volvo S70
G37 'vert
128i
