BOSD blues

I am getting a bsod when I try to " Safely remove hardware " in XP.
It only happens with usb thumb drives. I right click on the icon in the task bar
and as soon as I left click on remove we go to bosd instantly. I've Googled
the error code and there is only a couple of finds related to web cams
and Skype. How can I get a more detailed idea of what is causing this.

When I right click on the thumb drive and select eject I don't get a bsod.
When I simply pull it out nothing happens either. This is an area I have
no knowledge about and need help.
I located the dmp file and copied it on my desktop in case I will need to
access it. I have used 3 different drives so it's not the drive itself.

Plug in your thumb drive, delete your USB Hub(s) in Device manager and reboot. That should result in reinstallation of the USB hubs and hopefully resolve any issues.

Found it. My XFI sound card was causing it. The drivers were corrupted
and were causing the problem. All good now. Thanks C1 for the reply.
