I think he only wants people to hurl insults. Calling him names is what he likes most. Then, he only has to claim, "You liberals are always hurting my feelings with insults. Liberals bad." I see. I get the impression, I'm already on that list, then. I was really focused on trying to get him to see the inconsistencies at the core of his world view. I know those people. They are my family. They cannot abide the threat reality poses to the narrative they tell themselves and they will do all kinds of mental acrobatics to avoid it. I honestly believe that's why the world is so fucked up.
