Ok, so I figured I'd bring this problem to the highest minds in the land.. But they couldn't help me 😛
So a friend of mine lost a game of Magic the gathering online and punched his keyboard. Now his laptop will not turn on. He's punched the thing before with no problems but this was the last of his credit I suppose.
Since his warranty expired about a year ago we decided to open it up. We took a look at the processor and GPU and couldn't see any visible cracks, so we suspect there might be a lodged solder point since hitting the power button doesn't push any voltage through any components.
So now I come to you, and ask you if you could perhaps shoot some questions or suggestions at me as to what the problem could be. At this point we're less interested with fixing the thing as we are learning what exactly is wrong.
