<< "We call upon the Bush campaign to withdraw the litigation they have filed today and to allow a new and accurate count to be made of all the votes in the state of Florida," Christopher told reporters. >>

Note the phrase, all the votes in the state of Florida. The clueless might not know that a "new and accurate" count has already been done on "all" the votes.

The REAL agenda is not just a manual recount of four counties as Bore would have you believe. He's going to try and hijack the election by forcing the hand counting of nearly 6 million ballots.

You Bore apologists should be so proud.

and further, when will this end, if gore does win a stupid hand recount? I just cannot understand, Gore needs manual recounts in ONLY the counties he did best in, wtf, now bush is going to want hand recounts in all the counties HE did well in, this is a never ending cycle, NO TWO VOTE COUNTS WILL COME OUT EXACTLY THE SAME

Florida State Law mandates a recount if the election is within one half of one percent, WE HAVE HAD TWO COUNTS and guess what..........
GIVE IT UP GORE

This just in: Dow tanks on further news of Gore's incessant attempts to overturn the national election. Everyone saving for retirement sees a darkening end of the tunnel of their life's journey. Gore was unavailable for comment.

Are you that dense in the head? do you think everyone on this board just swarms to lick your boots and hang on everything you say as being gospel?

>>Note the phrase, all the votes in the state of Florida. The clueless might not know that a "new and accurate" count has already been done on "all" the votes.<<

I would go for that in a heartbeat. Gore would win easily.

You are the clueless. The first count had Bush up by 1784 votes. That triggered the automatic recount under Florida state law.
With the machine recount came a revelation that Shrub only had 327 votes more than Al Gore. Oh My God! Where did those 1457 votes disapear to?

How about the revelation that there are voting irregularities in this and every voting system, but the most glaring of all were in the counties that have legally been given the oppurtunity to be maually re counted, under a same system and circumstance as prescribed by law that Gov. Bush of Texas signed in 1997.

Keep spiining that tangled web that will choke you when this is all over Russ.

Repeat after me

Governor Bush Get used to it!;)

Tripleshot they've already had the re-count called for under Florida law. How many times would you like them to re-count? Until the sore losers win? I bet next you'll want them to let you pick your lottery number after the drawing? How many votes have been thrown out in other states that were not counted? Should we re-count all those too?

C'mon give up and let's get on with life, they had their re-count, they're still down and the absentee military ballots will only sink Gore worse.

The only thing he accomplishes by continuing down this road is to assure himself that he will not be a democratic candidate in 4 years. The american voter has a long enough memory to remember what he did this year.

Russ, you should be crowned King of the Political Thread Nefs.

Even today Bush said "probably" he will be President; in stark contrast to your pompas certainty.

It's still Govenor Bush. It may be President Bush (or Gore). We'll just have to wait and see, won't we?

Gee you are smart. I wonder why there still doing that count down in Florida? I think you should go down there and throw them all in jail.According to your analogy, what they are doing is illegal. Be sure and send your next paycheck to Georgey bushes legal defense fund to overturn Florida election laws. That would be money well spent.

I'm laughing my butt off at you bush whining crybabies. You all claim that its bush's win,yet if that where so,we would no it by now.Don't you find that strange, that some dumb democrat just stole all the thunder from a west texas alchy who thought he deserved to be President? You all said Dems were dumb. Well well, who's the dumby now? ;)

Don't take me too seriously folks. This is all a joke. Neither of these dunces deserve to be President. Its all we have to make fun of today and I'm enjoying it while I can! ;)

The Democratic leadership has attempted to steal the election, it aint going to happen.

You see Democrats, we "get it" now, your party is as destructive as any Third World Banana Republic.

Clinton/Gore have squandered most of the inheritance left by Reagan/Bush.

There is a junkyard dog guarding Bush/GOP interests in Florida, James Baker.

LOL :D I agree with that.

The one thing that will hold true, whoever ends up winning WILL NOT get a 2nd term, they'll probably get stomped in the next election.

apoppin,

I have started two threads today. How many have a couple of particular Bore apologists posted? Is the heat of truth causing you to itch? If so, just read the threads started by the losing side and you may find salve.

Hillary Rodman Clinton, 2 days after the election, stated the electoral college has failed and doesn't work in our "true democracy". Lady, last I checked we're a representative republic, not a true democracy. Sheesh how did NY possibly vote her it? Anyway, she has vowed to put an end to this "horribly outdated" EC system.

Now, if she and her fellow democrats really want to return the country to us by switching our form of government completely over to democracy, why not go all the way? Give the people the power to decide whether or not federal taxes can be introduced and raised, much like I hear Washington state is trying to do. Democrats, put your money where your mouth is or just that mouth.

Thats why I say not to take me seriously. Most who are politically savvy will agree with you that it is not likely the winner of this election will get second term.

1) There are more dems than Reps in the country.

2)this election proves EVERY VOTE COUNTS so the turn out next election will be mammoth!

3)The elected President has no mandate to govern.Half the country will apppose every stick of policy the President tries to implament.

4)Congress is devided essentially 50/50. that spells gridlock on any of the campaign promises of either candidate.

5)The elected president will have the albatross of a stolen election around his neck the entire term of his office.

2004 is owned by the democrats. Thats a fact. The dems can wait that long as long as they can block the BS bush wants to bring in IF bush is elected.

If Gore gets elected 50/50 chance he could go 2 terms. No chance he can run in 2004 and win should bush steal this election. Cuomo will be ready in 2004.

Enjoy the ride.;)

Amen Tripleshot! I hope that is the truth, and people realize how important it is to use our right to vote. Maybe now instead of sitting on their butts at home watching the results, they will realize they actually can have a say in what goes on here.

Tripleshot, my sarcasm radar must be on the fritz tonight. ;)

I agree with you on #2-4, #1 I wouldn't know but your right, whoever ends up in office is headed for 4 years as a lame president.

[edit] Maybe next election we will have a serious 3rd party contender.

HMM...I just noticed that not a single Bore supporter has stepped in to address the original issue of this thread: That Bore is lying about wanting a manual recount in only four counties. That his REAL intent is to try and force the issue upon the whole state.

Hopefully, he won't be able sue his way past state law on this one.

<< I wonder what she'd be saying if Bore hadn't lost? Can we guess? >>

Russ,

Ostensibly we'd get a speech from Billary proclaiming the glories of our "true democracy" and how the electoral system made it possible for the "people's choice" to become elected even in the midst of foul play and unprecendent illegal tactics used by the other side. Hypocracy Rodman Clinton would die to give that speech. :p

<< this election proves EVERY VOTE COUNTS so the turn out next election will be mammoth! >>

Wishful thinking. I hope so. But this fiasco could also induce greater apathy.

Actually, Russ, you're right about having only three current threads today. It just seems like much more.

However, I still think you should still be crowned AT OT Forum Political Nef King as I previously stated.

I for one won't participate in another one of these threads because they are pointless and irritating - not because you are "correct" but because you believe if you write enough words you may somehow convince someone you are.

I don't agree with the Gore apologists either. This is one embarassing situation for both candidates and it will cost them in at least the long run in the public's confidence.

Eventually, we will have a new US President. Making unfounded accusations where accurate knowledge of the facts is in short supply is contraproductive.

I for one won't participate any longer.

Aloha
