Looking at the pantheon of elite videogamers, how many really make enough money for it to be a sustainable occupation for life? 10? maybe? Then there are those that quit college, quit work, so they can make 20k a year playing CS thinking they're so awesome. Then when it's all said and done, they have no marketable skills in the real world

Not all of us can be a sell-out like Fatal1ty 😛.

I won't, moving to California for my internship, packed my computer. And I probably won't be 1337 vs someone who plays 4 hrs a day almost every day, won cal invite twice, cal open once, cal main twice, won cevo main, and placed second in cevo-p.won 15/17 major lans, and 23k in accumulative prize $ over 4 years.

fixed.

Wow, conceited much? :disgust:

flashbangs are what make counterstrike, well ..counterstrike, no other game uses flashes as like cs, they are a very vital weapon, if your blind, counter flash the enemy.

The nades in CS are a joke compared to those in America's Army.

not conceited at all, css is my favorite "pastime". no body likes to hear the pastime being bashed by somebody that has obviously no idea what they are talking about..

and btw, thanks for all the positive critique 🙂

my 1.5/1.6 videos are better.

I hate watching source videos, its okay to play, but nothing like 1.6

while i agree its 2 diffrent games, there is a reason 1.6 is dying breed.

just ask directv 😉

hey does anandtech have a cs1.6 serv. I tried CS:S but i didn't like the things they changed from 1.6. nice frags btw

You got skills!

I have/ had no skills on CS 1.6 😛. Played a few hrs with mates every so often. It is a fun game. One of my mates use to play for 4k but gave up when he went to Uni. MAN that guy was a FREAK SHOW when playing that game. Get about 45+ to 3-4 kills!

If you can make ANY money out of a hobby thats great!

I train 16-20hrs a week and I pay to do it! Well I have free access to a gym thats paid but my lunchtime gym is not paid for. I guess I'm going on my first International comp this year and thats free accomodation, food and subsidised travel. Sure I've been to France but not to Lille so it'll be fun.
