i have 650mhz piii 512ram,200gb, i want to try something new (bored with winXP) any suggestions? I've tried mandrake, but there's nothing i can do with it, just browsing web
 
Get a new shell, maybe that'll be fun. Try litestep. Learn to code in it. Take control of your OS.
 
It sounds like you are not really bored with XP but you are bored with your computing habits. Pickup a programming language, do some DV work, learn photoshop, play some games.
