I've posted up a link to some of my stuff before, but I just finished getting some webspace and a domain with some friends and set up this .php gallery, so check it out and LMK what you think.

I love the chess pieces! Great composition, especially with the appearence of the pieces on the far end. 🙂

Thanks for the comments everyone. Some of you have asked about my gear and experience, so I'll just copy and paste the pertinent from I wrote that will be going to the intro page to my gallery:

The majority of my photography experience has been with one-time use cameras that I bought before a particular occasion (ie a vacation). I got my first camera, a Canon CoolPix 885, for Christmas '01. I really didn't get much use out of this point & shoot camera, especially because after about 8 months it started having excessive hot pixels. I was able to get a refund, which I put towards my next camera, a Canon PowerShot S40 in August '02.

While it had a lot more manual options I still used it as a point & shoot camera for the majority of the time that I had it. After I started learning about all the manual settings and options I quickly outgrew the camera and in the middle of October '03 I stepped up to the new Canon EOS Digital Rebel (AKA 300D). I have been spending a good amount of time with photography in the past couple of months since I finished school and have a lot of free time currently.

Just a quick sidenote, only about 15 of the pictures in the gallery were taken with one of the older cameras.

My current lenses are:
Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM (just got this yesterday, early Christmas present 😉)
Sigma 70-300mm f/4-5.6 APO Zoom Macro Super II

And I have UV filters and a circular polarizer that were used in some of the shots. Once again, thanks for the comments.

Hehe, I'll definitely be spending more time at the beaches when it heats up a bit 😉

Also a friend of mine has mentioned she'd be interested little modeling for me also (the one in the billiards shot in the misc. section) in the near future so I'll get some practice with portraits and magazine-layout type pictures soon I hope.

Dork's typical response to impressive pictures : "What's your gear?" because they all assume that the gear is what made the pictures look so sweet.. Nope, the man has talent.. nice work!
