I have been playing for PC games since forever, but recently I have grown bored of everything. It's not that the games are bad, I have just seen and played everything.

I have stopped playing almost entirely, it was not a conscious choice, I just felt like i'd rather do other things.

Recently however my urge to game has started up, but I was still weary of playing the countless new PC games that I was sure I would be sick of after 15min of gameplay. So I just avoided it.

On day I was shopping and dropped by the video game store at tried my hand at a little Super Mario DS, and it was like I was discovering video games all over again.

The DS is lots of fun I only have the one mario game but it's addicting as hell.

My advice to anyone who is getting bored with PC games is try out some console games as they are VERY different, and may rekindle the excitement of video games.

I also think that the opposite is true console gamers might be refreshed by PC games.

Any way the DS will hold me over till I get a chance to try age of conan and chronicles of spellbourne, till then it's super mario all the way.

The problem with most PC games imo is that they usually take too long to get into. I bought a lot of PC games I really don't have the patience to understand or play.

A notable exception was the Overlord demo which I understood pretty quickly and thought it was great.

My favorite DS games right now are Puzzle Quest and Custom Robo. I highly reccommend.

Its up to you but I got a 360 out of boredom and I honestly think it revitalized my interest in PC gaming.
If you guys think computer games are uninspired wait 'till you get a console.
I rented about 40 games and the only thing that was even slightly original was Gears Of War, and that was a real ass-kicker after so many years of keyboard and mouse experience.
Neither the game or the console were good enough to keep my interest and make me use that annoying controller.

Haha, the exact same thing happened to me. GoW was awesome, I played it till the end, but after that I couldn't get into any other 360 games, except for The Godfather.

I like my DS because I don't have to invest a significant amount of time to play a game.

Taking a 5 minute break? Fire up your DS and roughly 30 seconds later you are playing your favorite game. Fire up your pc and you'll be lucky if you can start the game in 5 minutes. :)

Yep, I haven't played a PC game in a looong time. Nothing exciting (I think I've played and beat just about all the big name titles out there for the PC). I got my 360 Elite and I love NFS Most Wanted. Yeah it's available on the PC too, but I just prefer kicking back on my couch and using my wireless controller. I don't need a freakin' keyboard+mouse to drive a car. I also loved playing Justice League (XBox) and Marvel Ultimate Alliance with my friend. And then I go back to "the never gets old" 2D fighting games on my console (XBox). PC games are just, meh, to me right now. Maybe that will change once they freakin' release Crysis, Alan Wake or UT2007. When are those going to come out, 2010? Jeez.

I hear you about being bored with PC and games. Another good DS title that kept me occupied is Elite Beat Agents. That game remained in my DS for the longest time.

there aren't any good pc games out now and probably not for awhile. i'm selling my wii because those games suck.

i've been looking at DS games and there are several that seem pretty cool. might pick one up after my Wii sells.

I can't stop playing PC games. I still fire up Far Cry and play the singleplayer campaign. When I'm done with that I'll give Matto 3 and 4 a spin, not to mention the hundreds of singleplayer maps out there. Then there's Deus Ex and such games....I'm not bored just yet. I can understand where you are all coming from though. There really hasn't been much recently that excites the PC gamer..

I just can't get into console gaming. Nothing at all interests me unless it has a story, and if it does have a story, then k/m is typically the best way to play. If I want mindless fun, I have several arcade-type games on my PC that I play. I suppose I could get a console and play those on the tv but they just don't justify the expense of a console, as I rarely play that type of game.
