Umm, I dunno what to say here...I just needed an excuse to start a car thread. Umm...uhh... YUGO'S SUCK!!!!
 
A local dealer is giving away 3 or 4 Aztecs in contests... They are actually having problems getting people to enter.

I own a '85 Crown Vic and an '80 Caddy Fleetwood.

It runs 13's. I myself haven't formally raced it cuz I just got it. I do know it smokes mustang GT's
 
aztec are buttugly... why did Pontiac even bother to make them..!

and hyundai are not bad... the Tiburon are cool as hell..

As for random car talk, how about the old BMW 6-series. I think they look very cool, but a friend of mine, who is a European car nut, thinks they look like (in his words) "ass."

anyways, hyndai's used to suck, BIG TIME....they are getting better. the new xg300 is suppose to be pretty nice. we'll just have to wait and see.
 
I saw my first Asstek with a license plate. The driver was talking on her phone and drifting out of her lane.

I like the car threads right where they are, in OT. A car forum would inappropriate on a computer website, IMHO.
 
Honda should make a medium sized coupe with;

all wheel drive, or atleast rearwheel drive

v8 with twin turbos, with a 8-9k rpm redline

Build the entire car out of aluminum w/ magnesium wheels

Use a minimalist philosphy (no luxury bullsh!t like sunroofs, wood inlays, etc.) and keep the weight <2700 lbs

And sell it to me for 20k 🙂




Seeing how honda routinely squeezes 100+ hp out of one naturally aspirated liter, a TT would put out maybe 150 hp/liter. Say it's a 5 liter v8, that gives 750 hp. So what, a Qmile time in the 10-11 sec range? Well, I can dream right? 😛




 
Speaking of Yugos, I've been thinking about buying one and dropping in a new engine, suspension, etc. My friend and I have actually thought about having a small contest. We each have a max of $500 to spend on a car. But then you can mod it to hell and see who can get the best performance. I guess that'd be the ultimate sleeper car, huh? 🙂

btw, the other car I've been thinking about buying is an '81 Datsun 810/510 station wagon. Man, do I miss my old car. 🙂
