Bored and Hungy in NYC.

I've been in Manhattan all week on vacation.

I'm staying with a friend who lives in the East Village. Tonight he is going out on a date, and I am left to fend for myself.

I could order in, but I figure there must be some place to eat and/or play that would be comfortable even if I am "solo".

Any suggestions for things to do or places to eat when alone in NYC?

It was a bit earlier. If noone suggests anything better, I'll probably just head out and find something to do in a little bit.

on a cold night, it's definitely ramen. not good as shinsengumi or daikokuya in california, but it's got a unique flavor, and i would definitely eat there again.

I think I'm going to check out the movie "I Like Killing Flies". It's playing at a theatre close by.
