Borderlands 2

So I had seen something a couple of months ago about Borderlands 2 showing up under Mac Games in your Steam library if you purchased the PC version. However, if you went to install the game it didn't really do anything.

It does now. Did I miss the announcement?

In any event, I just downloaded and installed Borderlands 2 on my MacBook Pro running ML. It didn't seem to recognize the saved game from the Windows side for some reason but at least it is available.

So Borderlands 2 is also available on the Mac App store but comes with some serious limitations...

• Unlike Steam, the Mac App version will be a SINGLE PLAYER ONLY experience AT LAUNCH.
The Mac App version WILL receive co-op multiplayer, Game Center support, and in-app DLC purchases in a title update scheduled for late January/February.

• Once co-op multiplayer is enabled with the upcoming title update, Mac App players will be able to play with other Mac App players ONLY. Mac App players will NOT be able to play with Mac or PC players using Steam.

• SHiFT codes will not work for the Mac App version of Borderlands 2. There are currently no plans to enable this feature for the Mac App version.

Looks like the Steam version is definitely the way to go.

I just purchased Borderlands 2 the other day in the Steam sale. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the Mac port runs very well, which is not always the case. In fact, I can even run it at 2880x1800 on my retina MacBook Pro.
