Sounds like Gearboxes' fancy way of saying "DLC". Not sure I'm going to bite, I'll prolly pick up on a steam sale eventually. But for those who need it right away:

http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/us/en/pc/games/rpgs/borderlands-2-season-pass-na/

Use code "GMG25-1BW0K-K1A3G" and it goes from $29.99 to $22.50.

Description:

Includes four brand new individual add-on content campaigns for Borderlands 2

Each campaign will feature several hours of gameplay and introduce new adventures, allies, enemies and environments.

The Borderlands 2 Season Pass will be available for purchase when Borderlands 2 is available on on September 18, 2012.

All four add-on content campaigns are scheduled to be available by June 2013.

Yup. I've purchased quite a few things from these peeps over the years, including B2 last month when it was on sale for $37. The ones I've purchased activate on Steam, and they email keys a few days before Steam pre-downloads.

I ordered and it said they'd email the key(s) later...i hate supporting this idea of DLC honestly, but i know i'll be buying them anyway, so might as well save $$$ :hmm:

I heard this season pass DLC might overlap with a pre-order bonus is that right? How much overlap?

Seems risky buying DLC to a game I have even played yet....

I pre ordered the game, for a good price, but man, buying more crap without playing, I just dont know.

Best preorder price for the game right now seems to be Amazon PC download for 53.99, and that includes the first DLC (5th class). Anyone aware of a better price currently?

Edit: Nevermind, you can get it at GMG for $36 with this code: GMG25-1BW0K-K1A3G

DLC before the game is even released?

" to be available by June 2013."

It's simply Gearbox cashing in as much as they can. They'll release DLC anyway, some probably rather mediocre. With BL, I was happy to pick up the DLC on sale, I think I paid about $10 for all BL DLC in a bundle. That sounds much better than paying twice that upfront.

No offense to OP, this is a good deal and thank you :)

Yeah if the preorder bonus is DLC #1 and they are planning a total of 4 at $10 each anyone that preorders will essentially be paying retail for the final 3 DLC (save coupon codes).

Ill pass on this one for now. I likely play BL2 to death the first month and by the time the DLC packs are released and are on sale on steam for $5 Ill be ready to play it again.
