I saw this early this morning and didnt post it, but decided to now.

Direct2play.com has Borderlands 2 steam digital download for $25.

It seems it is legit, but buy at your own risk. Apparently this is a multi-region RU and English version of the game. Hopefully steam doesnt have a problem with this? Be careful though, steam has in the past removed games from accounts in these type of situations.

Anyways, lowest price on the internet for sure.... I have not yet purchased a copy, I might have to at this price though.

Pretty Legit so far, got mine activated and plays perfect, others have had no issues either

also, here's how to see your code when purchased as some people have had questions on it in other forums.

once your payment has been sent, check your email used, there will be a link that requires a SMS/Call verification. they will send you a 4-digit pin, enter it and submit. go back to the D2P website and click "Your account" at the top of the page, then click "Check My Order"

where it shows your BL2 purchase click "details" to the right, scroll down and theres a small Image, click to inhance, and that is your BL2 CD-Key.
now register that baby on Steam and get playing
 
Can you play coop with friends that have purchased USA or EU higher priced versions? There was something on forums, complaints about how Russian versions would only play Russian versions? Not sure, will have to look for it again.

this is Region Free, Multi Language. meaning you get the US version and the RU version.
when you enter the key on steam and look at your library youll see 2 versions.
Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 2 RU(russian) install option 1(borderlands 2)

i ordered, installed and played single and multiplayer (online) with out a problems using the key from D2P
 
I saw this deal on slickdeals.net (maybe where the OP found it too?). I purchased a copy and I'm installing it now.
 
Is there a way to pay with anything else than PayPal? When I go into the cart, at the bottom it says "choose your payment method" and "pay with your PayPal account, credit card, or private credit card". I click and for some reason it takes me to a page saying "you have chosen to pay with PayPal", which I have not since it says you can pay with your CC or private CC as well. I don't have PayPal; I want to pay with my CC.

Anyone else had this problem?

Most people are aware of this anyways and I already had a comment about it in the OP. This BL2 is slightly different than the COD since it is multi-regional if you didnt read that part. I think its fine and since thousands have purchased this already, nobody has yet reported issues. Hopefully they are ok with it. The version purchased here actually comes with RU and ENG so....by that logic would seem to make it ok. If it had only come with a RU and wasnt multi-regional, then I would have been a little more worried.

Grabbed a copy this morning for $25, activated on steam, installed the non RU version. Seems to work fine, was playing with friends who purchased the game through steam at launch. Thanks OP!
 
It doesnt seem to like my paypal account 🙁 and even though it says it takes credit cards it only lets me pay through paypal , And yet paypal wont let me send them money

sad there x com pre order is the lowest around too

Well, that would be true if they were specifically Russian keys. Those are typically the ones that steam and companies dont like. But, these are actually multi-region and include the English version as well, so its slightly different. These should be fine. It looks like even that $20 one is region free as well.

Looks like im the only one it wont work for then...purchesed the game got the email they called me with the 4 digit code. I then went to the site found the cd key went to steam went to games then activate a product on steam put in the code annnnd it said sorry but the following items are not available for purchase in this country..........GG.
 
Well my key worked fine I bought from green man games however I did use direct2play to buy xcom and it was the eu release (not the ru one)

So is it a rip off no. however it isnt a us release plus I didnt get any of the hawt pre order stuff for x com
