bootup too fast to enter bios setup!?

My new ssd equipped build boots up so fast I don't have a chance to enter bios setup- I got it ONCE, but haven't been able to do it since. It requires hitting delete. If I just hold down delete from the beginning, it ignores what it probably sees as a keyboard error and starts windows. If I try to rapidly hit the key throughout the process, that doesn't work, and if I try to hit it when the "hit delete to enter bios" text flashes by (in the blink of an eye), its always too late. Any way to do something BEFORE I shut down that will give me more time on the NEXT start so I can have a chance to hit delete at the right time?

A good problem to have, I guess...

Dont think that has much to do with the SSD rather than the bios of the board itself... I have an MSI 785GM-P45 motherboard that does the same thing you have to be real quick to get to the bios... The onboard controllers initialize so quick it just starts to boot into Windows before ya know it thats whats happening... Once you get in there should be a setting to enable quick boot or not...

BTW what motherboard...?

Might have to do a bios reset so it will post the logo start up screen which should slow it down to get you into the bios...? That setting is normaly defaut to on...

managed to get in there rapid fire on the delete key method after a few tries; I guess I can live with that. thanks for all the suggestions though...
