bootup problem

After postup I get this error. This file is missing or corrupt C:\windows\IFSHLP.sys wininit.exe. Unable to load into windows. I am running win xp on athlon 1700 xp. I tried to reformat the HD but is basically unable to do anything without this file. Need help!!!!!

if u have access to another winxp machine, u could try to copy those two files over.

Hmm... If you have a Win XP CD you should be able to boot from the CD and format like that.
