I have a system that recently faced a problem. The PC has been working fine for over 6 months, but just the other day I go to boot up the PC it would not POST. No beeps, no display...however the fans and everything is getting power.

The PC will boot into windows only after I hit the reset button. If I don't reset, it will just hang there on a blank screen. I have powered on and off but does no good...i must reset in order to go into Windows.

System stats follows: (never OCed)
300W PSU
EPoX 8K7A
1.33GHz T-Bird w/ Swiftech HSF
256MB Crucial DDR

When I boot up the system, it does however sound like the first 1-2 seconds for components to get full power...so I dunno if this is PSU related. Please help me fix this bootup problem, Thanks!

Could possibly be caused by a loose component, such as ram, CPU, or video card. I would suggest opening the case, and removing all the add in cards, ram , and CPU, then reinstalling them firmly. Make sure the wiring from the power switch is also firmly attached.

Sounds just like a cold boot problem. Some MoBo's just do that. Mine does exactly the same. If you still have warranty on it I would RMA it.
I have read quite a lot about this problem (to try and solve mine), but noone seems to have any idea why this happens, and nor how to solve it, except by getting a new MoBo.
