Hey guys, I'm in the middle of installing Windows 7 (64bit, first time install on a just assembled computer) using the dvd from Microsoft and suddenly the screen blacks out and says BOOTMGR is missing, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.

I can't get it to go forward from that point or even restart the installation, any help guys?

Try to disable AHCI mode for your disk controller in the system BIOS. Typically the controller has to be changed from AHCI mode to "IDE" or "ATA" mode.

Or try installing from usb using microsoft's tool http://images2.store.microsoft.com/prod/clustera/framework/w7udt/1.0/en-us/Windows7-USB-DVD-tool.exe

Unplug usb devices not needed except for keyboard and mouse.

If you have two hard drives, unplug one and keep only the one you are installing on. Make you sure have the right boot priorities set in the bios. Make CD-ROM 1st then HD installing on 2nd. Or set the HD to 1st if your bios lets you do a boot select menu when it starts up and then pick cd-rom to boot from.
