BootMagic

Does anyone know how BootMagic from PowerQuest works??
I'm dual booting with WinMe on the primary partition, C, and Win2000 on the 1st logical, drive, D.
With Win2000's bootloader it sets 2000 as the default OS, so I want to use BootMagic to set WinMe as the default OS. But BootMagic sees WinMe on the primary partion as WinNT/2000 and it doesn't recognize any OS on the D drive. So I can only add one OS to the Bootmagic Menu.
When I boot with Bootmagic enabled and choose the only option WinNT/2000, it then continues to the Win2000 boot menu where I then have to choose between 2000 and Me. Which of course seems quite stupid.
Anybody know how it works or do you know how to change Me to the default OS. I've tried to search for boot.ini on my drives, but I can't find it or don't have it!!??

if you only have ME and 2k, try this on 2k:

right click on my computer, go to the advanced tab, click on the bottom "Startup and recomvery", now on the top in the drop down menu pick ME as your primary OS and how long do you want to wait till it loads.

if you have any more probs PM.

side note, usually if bootmagic doestnt catch a OS its because its misconfigured (the OS is)

Thanks Dam!

I uninstalled BootMagic and did what you said and that did the job. I don't know how my OS's could be misconfigured, though, as both were a fresh install on formatted partitions.

Thanks for the help, anyway.
