motherboard-ga-ma790-ds4h
psu-pc power and cooling 750
amd 970

the problem i have, is when i shut off the computer through windows, and then try to start the computer, nothing happens, the lights on computer comes on , no beep, no video, and i cannot shut off computer with power button.

solution-i have to pull the power plug on psu, hit the i/o switch, wait till the juice is out of the compenents, put the power plug back in, switch it to i, and then start the computer, and it will not start with a beep and video

i have tryed different psu,s, different cpu,s ,,,,,i am thinking the chip on motherboard is bad....

any suggestions????

Could still be the motherboard, but definitely makes the PSU suspect. What was the second one you tried?

Almost sounds like a part inside the psu is heating up just hot enough to not shut it down because the fan's keeping just cool enough to run, but once you shut down, its temp spikes (no active cooling so it heats up) and takes a while to cool down enough to "cold boot".

Try another power supply that's known good.
