Booting a CD-RW disc...

I have a copy of Windows XP Pro with SP2 slipstreamed onto a bootable CD-RW disc. It boots fine on the computer that I used to make the disc, but it will not work on my other computer. It is an old eMachines computer, but it has a DVD-ROM drive, so it *should* read CD-RW's...right?

Yes a DVD reader will read cd-r and cd-rw.
