What files do I need to put on a CD to make it bootable? Do I need any special software to burn bootable CDs? (I use EasyCDPro95) Can you boot from multisession CDs?

There is a menu item for making a bootable VCD. You need to give it a bootable floppy for your system, and from it two files will be created . . . one .CAT and one .BIN.

Multisessions can be on the CD, but you should close them out. Actually, they are best left on your HDD until you are finished, then burn. Otherwise, they may not work on all reader drives.

Your burn software is fast approaching dinosaur status . . . think about Nero 5 or ECDC 4.03.

Step 1. Make a regular Win98 Boot Disk
Step 2. Have Nero 5 installed and working.
Step 3. Open Nero, close the wizard, and make a new CD-> CDROM (BOOT)
Step 4. Select the A:\ Drive as the source and make sure you have your win98 boot disk in there.
Step 5. Add any files you may want to include on the cd as well (i put win2k, win98se, and winme cab files on there).
Step 6. Burn the CD, you won't see the boot files at all but they will be there. if you chose not to put anything else on the CD it will show up as blank, but will still be bootable.

Easy CD Creator 4 also makes boot cd's. Just have a flopy boot disk available and select create new bootable CD.
