What is your bios boot up sequence? Is this the fastest/best option to have? Is it :
1) Hard Drive
2) Floppy Drive
3) Cd Rom

Or is it best to just set it on Hard drive, and disable the Floppy drive and Cd rom?

Does that mean everything else will work once inside windows?
After disabling my floppy and cd rom, how come when I boot up, I can see the lights coming on and hear the floppy drive detecting?

the drives are powering up, going through their startup sequence... that's the reason you hear them and see lights blinking

and yes they will work fine in windows, they just won't be looked at to boot off of when the computer gets done with POST

If the hardrive is set first in the boot order (such as the thread starter's is) than all other devices will be ignored. :D

Really??? So it's pointless to disable anything then? As long as we boot up from the hard drive, it's the same?
